The most important thing I have learned over the years can be summed up to —life goes on.

CARING | LOVING | HAPPY

Beyond Covid:

Experiencing this pandemic being a senior in high school was something I never even imagined would happy. It’s affected me in so many different ways but I’ve chose to try and just focus on the positives day by day. Moving forward, I know I need to appreciate certain things that I think are always going to be given to me much more, because they could be taken away so easily by things completely out of my control.

What is something a lot of people may not know about you?:

Something most people don’t know about me is that I am a cheerleader, and have cheered the majority of my life. I can also wiggle my ears!

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

In 10 years I see myself teaching younger kids in a classroom, just like my mom. I’m really passionate about everything that I do, and meeting my goals in the future is something I will constantly strive to do.

What is your favorite High School memory and why?

My favorite high school memory was the senior trip I went on over spring break in 2021. It was such an amazing experience and I had the time of my life with my closest friends. It was nice to get away and try and forget about the negatives that have happened this year and last year with COVID.

Is there anyone who has made a big impact on your life and why?

My whole family has had such a huge impact on my life. My mom is so supportive of me, and my dad has taught me so many different things over the years. My sisters and I are so close and I would do anything for them, and setting a good example is something I always push do.

You spend 1/3 of your life working, 1/3 of your life sleeping, and 1/3 of your life doing what you want. Find a job that you enjoy so 2/3 of your life is fun. - Bill Smith

HARD WORKING | LOYAL | COURAGEOUS

Beyond Covid:

I think that Covid has been very hard on many students my age, but ultimately has made me and many others stronger than before. There is something special about going through a hard time with so many others in a similar position as you, that ends up unifying students. I believe that Covid has made me a stronger person, and has taught me to never give up, and there is light at the end of any tunnel.

Nothing can dim the light that shines from within.

AMBITIOUS | TRUSTWORTHY | LOYAL | CARING | FRIENDLY

Beyond Covid:

When the pandemic first started, I felt like I wasn’t going to be able to experience the remainder of my junior year and into my senior year. It was hard and being cooped up in the house during lockdown was really tough. One thing that helped was getting out of the house and just going for a drive, it was enough to give me a sense of normalcy. In the end, I did learn to not take things for granted and to check up on my friends and family to see how everyone was holding up. COVID took a lot from my life but I try to focus on the good and keep my head up and move forward.

What is something a lot of people may not know about you?:

Most people don’t know that when I was about 1 1/2 - 2 years old, I had an imaginary friend that ended up being my papa, that had passed away just shy of a year before I was born. My mom found out by a picture that was underneath the glass bar top; i had climbed the stool and was looking at the pictures and pointed out my papa saying, “ mama mama this is my friend, the one I’ve been talking too”. People always say that he was my guardian angle and to this day I still 100% believe that.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

Hopefully, within the next 10 years I will be working in the forensic science field and will have some travel under my belt. Maybe even live In Europe!

What is your favorite High School memory and why?

Honestly, they’re are so many memories especially with friends and meeting new people throughout the years but I would say getting through high school with my best friend, kayla. She is someone who has always been there for me and vis versa. She’s an amazing person who I gladly call family.

Is there anyone who has made a big impact on your life and why?

My mom and dad have made such an important impact on my life. My mom has always supported me and pushed me to be the best version of myself even if I pushed back. She is my super hero. My dad has always given me the confidence to be who I want to be. I love them both so much.
