Beyond Covid:

What really affected me with COVID is not being in school with my friends, having the in classroom experience and the face to face bond with my teachers. I also didn’t like missing out on my junior prom and now my senior prom. COVID has made me more resilient, it has made me appreciate the little things in life and that time is precious. I developed closer relationships with my family as well.

Beyond Covid:

COVID has been difficult on many people and impacted a lot of students. I graduated high school half year in January so it impacted me more for college than high school. I would have loved to have gone into school, in person, for my first semester of college, but I am just happy that I was able to still succeed in meeting my requirements for high school and move on to the next chapter of my life.

My mom and dad together have made a huge impact on my life, they have pushed me to do my best and created the person I am today. Beyond Covid:

Living through the Covid pandemic gave me a chance to take a step back from the busyness of every day life and spend time with my family. It allowed me to reconnect with my siblings and remember that family comes first. Coronavirus helped me realize that it is important to take the time to be grateful for the things you already have because there is always a chance that the littlest luxuries, such as time spent with friends, can get taken away. That is a lesson that I am going to carry with me throughout the rest of my life.

What is something a lot of people may not know about you?:

I caught my clothes on fire with a sparkler when I was 9 years old!

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

In 10 years I see myself as the head of a thriving business that I created. I also hope to be married with one kid by that time, living somewhere warm :)

What is your favorite High School memory and why?

My favorite High School memory is when we won Sectionals for soccer. I think it is my favorite memory because our team had been working so hard all season with that one goal in mind. We had gotten so close to winning sectionals the year before year, but we ended up falling short. So, this year we came back with so much passion and energy. We wanted to win it for the girls who graduated before us, and we did! It was the best feeling ever.

Beyond Covid:

Since COVID really killed the last few years of high school there have been so many changes, good and bad. I obviously miss school and the way life was before, but since this pandemic happened I’ve grown into a whole new person. When lock down first started I grew much closer with my family. We began to do so many new things together, and this had a permanent effect on us. Another thing that happened to me was learning more about myself. I learned to not only find what works best for me in life but how to love myself. I think this was a huge takeaway because I matured a lot since this pandemic started. Although the biggest effect on my life was gaining responsibility for myself. I had to hold myself accountable in school, especially this current school year fully online. I can honestly say I have matured and found a way to keep myself organized and accountable. I know that I’ll be able to hold myself accountable throughout life and college, which is super important. I believe this is the most influential thing I’ve taken away from the pandemic.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

In ten years I see myself doing many things. I hope to be out of law school and specializing in family law. At the moment I would love to be living/working somewhere warm, but I honestly have no idea where life may take me. Possibly with or starting a family with someone is another detail I would want in 10 years. My main wish for myself is to be happy wherever I end up. I hope this happiness is not reliant on anyone but myself.

What is your favorite High School memory and why?

My favorite High School memory is honestly such a hard question to answer. I would have to say my favorite memory would be all the dances. Picking out the perfect dress and finding the perfect hair and makeup style is so much fun. Although stressful, the dances were always so much fun for me and my friends. I’ll miss them a lot!

Is there anyone who has made a big impact on your life and why?

My Mom has made the biggest impact on my life. She has taught me resilience in so many ways. She truly is the strongest person I know. Because of her I know that how ever many obstacles may be thrown my way I can always push through if I put my mind to it.

Beyond Covid:

Dealing without Covid was not ideal for anyone but for me I dealt with it in some different ways. In the earlier months of Covid, I got into different arts and crafts. This made me able to take my minds off of the awful situation we are currently in. Also, I started exercising more often. This as well, helped me keep my mind off of stuff going on in the world. I hope for the pandemic to settle down, as it has already. I have big plans for next year, Indiana University. I am hoping school life is normal for the coming year.

What is something a lot of people may not know about you?:

I once was bucked off a horse.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

I see myself in a successful career. I plan to work for an interior design company in a big city. I would like to have a husband.

Is there anyone who has made a big impact on your life and why?

A person that made a huge impact on my life is my boyfriends brother , Jack. Jack has Autism and he has just opened my mind to the world of honesty and truth. I’d you don’t know anything about Autism , everyone with it is different. But, there’s one thing similar. They are the most honest humans ever. He has just given me such a different viewpoint on many aspects of my life. I cherish him dearly.

Beyond Covid:

Living through this pandemic has taught me not to take anything for granted. During high school, everyone expects to go to football games every Friday night, hang out with friends, have prom...etc. Obviously, COVID has either cancelled or drastically changed all of these things. After all this is over, my plan is to appreciate every little thing I have because you never know when it’ll get taken away from you.

What is something a lot of people may not know about you?:

This sounds kind of funny... but a lot of people don’t realize that I’m pretty intelligent. My bubbly personality sometimes makes people think I’m less smart/capable than they may realize! Im graduating this year with a 4.3 GPA and academic honors and have earned a lot of college credit already.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

In 10 years, I see myself back in the classroom as an elementary school teacher. I’ve wanted to become an educator ever since I was younger, so I’m very excited that this dream is soon to come true!!

What is your favorite High School memory and why?

My favorite high school memory is definitely winning state this past year for basketball. This is my most memorable moment because it was the perfect ending to a season we weren’t sure if we would even have, and it was a direct reflection of all the hard work and long hours we put in to achieve this goal.

Is there anyone who has made a big impact on your life and why?

The person who has made the biggest impact on my life is my Baba (grandma in Macedonian)! She came to this country as a teenager with hardly anything, and worked tirelessly to make a living for herself. She’s taught me to appreciate what I have and to always work hard to accomplish your goals, because anything is possible!
